Feel the Freedom
Skydive Tandem!

Tandem Skydiving requires only 20 minutes preparation. Why only 20 minutes? In a Tandem Skydive your Instructor is with you during free fall, canopy flight and landing, thus you only need to learn a few essential skills before making your first skydive.

Among the benefits of Tandem Skydiving are:

A skydiving harness designed to carry two people is used. The Tandem Instructor wears the harness and container into which is packed main and reserve ram-air (inflatable wing) parachutes. You wear only a harness. You are secured to the Tandem Instructor by four attachment points. Two are located at your shoulder and two are located at the hip of your harness. The operating load for each top connector is 5,000 pounds. The operating load for each lower connector is 2,500 pounds. You and the Tandem Instructor both face forward with the Tandem Instructor behind you.

During the briefing the you will learn how to exit the aircraft, the proper skydiving body position, how to use an altimeter, and how to deploy the main parachute. After the briefing we board an aircraft and climb to 10,000 feet above the ground (special events allow for higher exit altitudes, please ask for more details). We synchronize our exit as we have practiced on the ground and launch ourselves from the aircraft. You free fall 5,000 feet, which will take approximately 30 seconds, and then deploy the main parachute. During free fall you will experience flying on a cushion of air and will practice your free fall skills. Following deployment you will learn to fly the parachute. By the time you land, you will have a practical understanding of how to fly a ram-air parachute. Tandem landings are typically very soft and usually leave you standing for a perfect photo opportunity.   ( click here to see Tandem Skydiving Photo Album )
